holistic development of each student\u2014academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. We offer a rigorous curriculum enriched with service learning and field trips to foster growth during these pivotal preteen years. Students also enjoy weekly classes, which we refer to as <em>Specials<\/em>, in technology, art, music, Spanish, and library, and a P.E. class four times per week. They still have daily recess to stay active and energized.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A key aspect of our program is the integration of Bible knowledge and truths into every subject, providing students with a faith-based perspective. The third-grade curriculum expands on the skills acquired in previous years and encourages our students to initiate and take responsibility for their learning. Understanding the concept of time management and learning how to plan becomes essential in third grade and helps to garnish and improve decision-making skills.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students in third grade are exposed to learning experiences that allow them to apply their existing skills to new situations. With the use of individual school-issued binders, students practice organizational and study skills that are incorporated into their daily activities to support learning and lead to a seamless transition to fourth grade and beyond at Scofield.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><hr \/><h3>\u00a0<\/h3><h3><span style=\"color: #bca16f;\">Curriculum<\/span><\/h3><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Bible<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> classes in Third Grade learn that God is honorable and trustworthy throughout the Old and New Testaments.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Language Arts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> builds upon the foundation laid in the lower grades in reading, writing, spelling and grammar.
